Providing a supply of materials and paraphernalia that will support and enhance education in the primary schools in Murray Town.

Providing materials and financial support to the development of the clinic for emergency medical treatment in the village of Murray Town

Who We Are

The Association was revived in 2009 after an earlier attempt on 2 June 1996 fizzled out following the death of Mrs Isabelle Barclay-Prempeh, affectionately known as Omobola, on 21 May 2000. Membership is open to individuals living in the UK and worldwide who are connected to the village by birth, marriage, ancestry, or residency.

So far we have...

Spent over £15,000 for the rehabilitation and refurbishment of two school buildings to create six new classrooms.

Spent over £13,00 for the Murray Town Health Centre refurbishment.

Consignments of text books and other educational materials to the Murray Town Primary School.

Consignments of medical accessories sent to support the maternity hospital located in Cline Town, Freetown.

Donation of prayer mats to Mosques in the village and Church accessories to both local Churches.

Made donations to King George V1 Memorial Home, Grafton for the elderly.

Our Objectives

Financial, material and other help where necessary and possible and the supply of educational materials and other paraphernalia that would enhance education in the primary school in Murray Town, Freetown, Sierra Leone

To give support to the economic and social development of the Murray Town community in Sierra Leone, the UK and worldwide

To give material and financial support to the development of the Health Centre for emergency medical treatment in the village of Murray Town
