Our Projects
The association is a registered charity with His Majesty's Revenue and Customs. We regularly hold social gatherings and fundraising events. Funds raised are dedicated to achieving our goals of promoting education and health in the village of Murray Town.
2013
Eight volumes of Teacher Resource materials in English. Maths and Reading were sent to the school in 2013 through Rev Dr Olivia Wesley, a Murraytonian.
2014
A large consignment of various textbooks was sent to the school and presented in a ceremony witnessed by local dignitaries, Head Teachers, and pupils.

2017
Started a discussion about the refurbishment and rehabilitation of the Health Centre. We also sent hymn books, Holy Communion accessories and other church essentials to both churches, Ebenezer Methodist Church and Jordan West African Methodist Church and prayer mats to the Mosques in the village.
A further consignment of books and other educational materials were sent to the school. The consignment included essential medical supplies to the Health Centre and further afield to the maternity hospital in Cline Town, Freetown.
In 2017, we started discussions about the refurbishment of the Health centre. We made several due diligence contacts with individuals in the village and the Ministry of Health. We have been able to complete the refurbishment of the Health Centre at a cost of £13,000, laying new floor tiles, new patients’ waiting area, painting and decorating and so on. In addition, we have completed the construction of internal toilets, showers, and a waiting room for TB patients.
During the same year, we sent hymn books and accessories for Holy Communion to Ebenezer and Jordan Churches; prayer mats to the two mosques in the village, and a monetary contribution to the King George V1 Memorial Home in Grafton. (see appreciation letters)
2018
The refurbishment and rehabilitation of the Health Centre was completed and officially opened in the presence of the Mayor, Yvonne Sawyerr, the Member of Parliament for the area and local dignitaries.
Completed the refurbishment of the clinic in the village including an extension on the ground floor for the benefit of patients and the community at a cost of over £11000. A further consignment was sent in 2016 including basic medical accessories to the Health Centre and further afield to the maternity hospital in Cline Town.

2025
Repairs were made to the roofs of the refurbished school buildings. Sections of the corrugated iron sheets were replaced, and the whole roof was painted. (see video to left) During the rainy season, damage to the roof became apparent, with leaks impacting classrooms and disrupting the teaching and learning environment for the teachers and pupils. The association funded the repairs through Rev Dr Olivia Wesley, who supervised the carpenter and decorator's work. Ceiling repairs are currently in progress.
