On behalf of the School Management Committee Murray Town Primary Municipal School and the Governing Board of the Murray Town Secondary School, I bring you very warm greetings and also to take this opportunity to welcome you all to this remarkable ceremony that is the 'Unveiling and Rededication ceremony of the refurbished class room buildings of the Murray Town Primary
Municipal School, which has been undertaken by Members of the Murray Town association UK.
We the people of Murray Town Community appreciated the bold steps you look to embark on the school project and not only that, you also took over the Community Health centre by constructing two toilets, T.B. unit, changing the tiles inside the main waiting Hall, upgrading the laboratory, providing one water pumping machine and finally pay an outstanding electricity bill of more than Le 130. 000, providing drugs and other hospital accessories or patients.
I can recall very well that on three occasions you have donated a whole lot of items of stationery including text books which are now placed in the school Library. This is not a surprise to many of us because I know that your ambition is that this building will serve many generations.
Tune: Wilton
I know that the school will stand the test of time. God Almighty in His infinite Mercy will surely reward you and the other members of the association, who are not presently with us to witness this wonderful ceremony this morning. To the Principal and Head Teachers, I know your dreams have come true, because you were
hanging heads on how to allocate the classes because each class has to accommodate fifty (50) children in both the primary and secondary sections. I am always with you in the school trying to monitor how you are managing the day to day affairs of the school with so many problems.
I have no doubt that you will up-keep the building to the standard expected so that whenever members of the Murray Town Association UK come on holidays they will feel vent proud to see that the school is neatly kept and the class-rooms are well organized to march up with the Free quality Education in the country.
I hope you will have a wonderful day and I thank you all for your attention.
Chief Songo King JP
Chair of the Governing Body of Murray Town Municipal Primary School and local elder in the community.
